This is our smart home before we added any of the electrical components to it. We used 4 bathroom floor tiles as the base foundation of the house, then cut cardboard for walls. As you can see we used quite a bit of industrial glue to make sure that the walls are extremely sturdy and won't break. If you look at the layout of the house you will probably notice it is a very open room design. This is because it would be better for security systems because camera's/sensors would have a clear view of the target. The house was designed to be very efficient and coordinated with our systems and any anyone would want to add. Our main focus was to be unique. Being different from the other groups was a big focus for us. This whole course is about learning the technology of the future and to push the boundaries of the present. I think that trying to do our projects in a different light is a good step towards that goal. The way the inventors of our modern technology came up with their ideas was pushing their modern technology and making new unique things with them. I think this academy sets us up to be the inventors of the future.
